Help us bring the first public library building to Greenfield
We are awaiting the Greenfield City Council vote to approve the library building project and accept responsibility for the the costs of the library above the $9.4 million grant from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. All of our giving options are available but we are focusing on pledges.
The Foundation accepts a variety of donations including cash, check, stock or property. Donations go directly towards off-setting the amount Greenfield's community at-large will need to contribute to the building costs of the new library.
Many employers offer to match donations to 501c3 organizations that their employees contribute to. Find out if your employer will match your contribution and double your gift!
Pledges can be made in 1- to 5-year intervals and/or contingent upon the city government's support of the new building project. Pledging now helps fundraisers to demonstrate community support for the new library building.
Contributions can be made anonymously, or in memory of or in honor of a loved one, friend, or prominent community member. We can even acknowledge someone as a donor but keep the amount anonymous to the community.
I have found the most valuable thing in my wallet is my library card.
